Welcome to Angola High School
ngola High School is a proud partner in education with the
community of Angola, Indiana. Located one mile east of downtown
Angola on U.S. Highway 20, Angola High School is recognized
as a leader among high schools. Its students reflect the
demographics of the Angola community and consistently rank
above both state and national averages on standardized assessments.
Within the past few years, Angola High School has received
both state and national awards and recognitions. It was
named a Four Star School and a Blue Ribbon School by the
State of Indiana. It was awarded the distinction of being
Indiana’s Most Outstanding Successful High School
by the Indiana Association of Colleges of Teacher Education.
The University of Minnesota selected Angola High School
as a National School-to-Work Model Site and the United States
Department of Education selected AHS as a New American High
School in 1999. This award was presented at the White House
in November of that year.
