District Statement
The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County believes that
all students can learn and that learning is a lifelong process.
Our school district is committed to excellence and continual improvement.

The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County is a growing
and progressive district. Committed to excellence, our schools
have received local, state, and national recognitions for achievement.
Angola High School was recognized at the White House as a New
American High School. Three of our schools have received Indiana’s
Four Star Awards and all of our schools are members of the
AdvancEd/NCACasi
focusing on continuous improvement.
Our school district has an enrollment
of 3,094
students. There are 205 certified and 178 classified
employees serving our students.
Our teachers and
instructional assistants meet all of the “Highly Qualified”
requirements. In compliance with Title I Part A, this
notification is to inform you that you may request information
regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s
classroom teacher or the professional qualifications of any
paraprofessional that may provide educational services for your
child. This information may be obtained by contacting the Title I
Program Coordinator at the MSD of Steuben County Central Office at
260-665-2854, Extension 1311.
