Kindergarten travels around the world during December to learn about holiday traditions in other countries. We were delayed heading to our first stop: The Netherlands. Sinterklaas visits children in The Netherlands on the night of December 5th. We made wooden shoes to leave out for Sinterklaas and even tried walking in real wooden shoes.

Congratulations to Mrs. Corcoran and Ms. Arnos, our newest staff members of the week!! They have been tremendous additions since joining the Ryan Park staff last year. They are hardworking dedicated educators that help promote a positive learning environment for all students. Thank you for all you do!!

MSDSC is on a two-hour delay today, due to icy road conditions, Friday 12/6

Miss Kobelak's 5th graders just completed their science unit that focuses on protecting our planet. For their experiment, students had five minutes to separate oil from water using only the materials provided for them. Each small material represented a big tool that is to clean up actual oil spills (for example, the sponge the students used works similar to a sorbent that is used for big spills). Each group was successfully able to collect more oil than water from their pan. We also had excellent discussions about what we can do to help keep our planet clean and why it is so important!

MSDSC is on a two-hour delay today.
School start times - Elementary 9:55. Middle School 9:55, High School 10:00
Drive safe! See you soon!

🎶🎤Miss Arnos's music class has been rocking out to the classic tune "Hot Cross Buns" this week!🎼🔥
These talented students have mastered the notes G, B, and A on their recorders, and they're not afraid to show it. They've been rapping, singing, and playing their hearts out, creating a musical masterpiece that would make Mozart proud.
We're so proud of these little musicians and their dedication to learning and growing. We can't wait to see what they accomplish next!
